Imperial TSA admits to screening, molesting more than 638 million air travelers in 2013
Wednesday, February 05, 2014 by: Ethan A. Huff, staff writer
(NaturalNews) The most repressive airport security force in the civilized world, the TSA (Transportation Security Administration), recently published a summary on its blog of all the “accomplishments” it achieved in 2013. And listed as a bragging right are the more than 638 million air travelers that TSA screeners ushered through naked body scanners or molested with full-body pat-downs at U.S. airports throughout the year.
In an apparent attempt to legitimize its very existence, the TSA boasts that its thousands of screeners successfully groped or viewed naked imagery of more than 1.7 million air travelers per day in 2013. This collectively adds up to 638,705,790 air travelers who had their Fourth Amendment rights violated by federal employees throughout the year, which is 1,123,668 more than the number who had their rights infringed the previous year.
Somehow, these figures, which come from the TSA’s “Year in Review: 2013″ report, are supposed to comfort Americans and make them feel safer. The TSA even alludes to this directly, suggesting that the agency is the “public face of our nation’s security” and that TSA screeners perform “difficult work” that requires “patience, stamina, and great attention to detail.”
.
But what these figures actually show is that the TSA is simply furthering its legacy of trampling the rights of the American people by searching them and seizing their personal property without due cause or suspicion. Every single person who wishes to travel via air in the U.S. is required to submit to the TSA’s draconian security protocols, which continue to be the most oppressive in the First World.
Crimes committed by TSA screeners up 26 percent in 2013
These are valid questions to which the TSA has yet to provide any answers. The agency has also failed to address the uptick in crimes committed by TSA screeners during the same year. A Government Accountability Office (GAO) report released last fall revealed a 26 percent increase in TSA misconduct during 2013, the highest level in more than three years.
According to CNN, such offenses include TSA screeners stealing money from passengers’ checked and carry-on luggage, failing to properly monitor items passing through the X-ray scanners, taking bribes from drug dealers and even sleeping on the job. TSA screeners have also been caught sneaking friends and family members past checkpoints, doing drugs on the job and helping move deadly weapons through security.
“There’s not even a way to properly report some of the offenses,” says Florida Representative John Mica, who has previously requested an audit of the TSA, as quoted by CNN. “This may be just the tip of the iceberg of some of the offenses.”
Everything from asking inappropriate questions about travelers’ personal lives to making unwelcome sexual advances during “advanced” screening protocols are well-documented as TSA offenses that have gone unaddressed by the failed agency. Rather than take a step backwards and reevaluate its role as a supposed champion of freedom and safety, the TSA is instead keeping a tight lid on the hamper holding its mountain of dirty laundry.
.
“The TSA, and [its] parent agency Homeland Security, is the prelude to an American police state,” adds another commenter on the TSA blog. “They are meant to be the foundation of an American Gestapo, or if you prefer, national secret police. Airline security should be left up to the airlines, and each individual airport.”

10+ years later and not a terrorist in sight…
TSA employee arrested after making terroristic threats
Thursday, February 06, 2014 by: J. D. Heyes
.
(NaturalNews) Calls are growing, both from the general public and from lawmakers, to pull the plug on the hapless criminal enterprise known as the Transportation Security Administration.
And why not? The agency is incompetent, has not lived up to its billing (preventing terrorist attacks), and has made air travel nightmarish for tens of millions of Americans.
Well, now we can add a new one to the list of TSA failures: Actually making a terrorist threat.
As reported by KHOU in Houston:
Houston police arrested a Transportation Security Administration officer accused of making a threat to fellow employees at Bush Intercontinental Airport.
The incident reportedly happened on Jan. 25 in the security checkpoint area of Terminal C.
Jeno Mouton, of Houston, allegedly told a TSA supervisor that “he would rather vent than to come back and shoot up the place,” according to an arrest affidavit.
Police say Mouton, a long-time employee, allegedly made his comment during an actual shift when he was on duty as a TSA agent.
Epic fail
A TSA supervisor told cops that she discussed the statement with Mouton for several minutes, and not only did he refuse to recant it, but he reportedly repeated the threat several more times during that conversation.
The supervisor then reported the conservation with Mouton to the human resources office manager. Mouton was immediately informed that he could not return to the airport or any other TSA offices or facilities, according to an affidavit.
But he didn’t listen:
Then on Jan. 29, a TSA worker reported that she saw Mouton on the secure side of the Bush Airport terminal in plain clothes.
Mouton’s supervisors said they were concerned that Mouton posed a threat because he came back to the airport after being warned to stay away, and noted that he has a current Texas concealed handgun license.
Now, the agent is facing felony terrorism charges. He was jailed on a $5,000 bond and has been scheduled to appear in court March 7.
In a recent tell-all, one former TSA agent admitted that his agency was essentially a waste of taxpayer money, and that the intrusive scanners at most major airports were not only ineffective but sources of amusement for scores of agents.
Feel safe, America
In a Politico piece, former agent Jason Edward Harrington writes,
“Dear America, I saw you naked, and yes, we were laughing.”
Further, he observed:
– I quickly discovered I was working for an agency whose morale was among the lowest in the U.S. government. In private, most TSA officers I talked to told me they felt the agency’s day-to-day operations represented an abuse of public trust and funds.
– Each day I had to look into the eyes of passengers in niqabs and thawbs undergoing full-body pat-downs, having been guilty of nothing besides holding passports from the wrong nations. As the son of a German-American mother and an African-American father who was born in the Jim Crow South, I can pass for Middle Eastern, so the glares directed at me felt particularly accusatory. The thought nagged at me that I was enabling the same government-sanctioned bigotry my father had fought so hard to escape.
– We knew the full-body scanners didn’t work before they were even installed. Not long after the Underwear Bomber incident, all TSA officers at O’Hare were informed that training for the Rapiscan Systems full-body scanners would soon begin. The machines cost about $150,000 a pop.
Our instructor was a balding middle-aged man who shrugged his shoulders after everything he said, as though in apology. At the conclusion of our crash course, one of the officers in our class asked him to tell us, off the record, what he really thought about the machines.
“They’re shit,” he said, shrugging.
Feel safe, America. The TSA is on the job.

Obama allows immigrants with ‘limited’ terror contact into U.S.
Daily Caller February 6, 2014
The Obama administration has issued new exemptions to a law that bars certain asylum-seekers and refugees who provided “limited material support” to terrorists who are believed to pose no threat from the U.S.
The Department of Homeland Security and the State Department published the new exemptions Wednesday in the Federal Register to narrow a ban in the Immigration and Nationality Act excluding refugees and asylum seekers who had provided limited material support, no matter how minor, to terrorists.
“These exemptions cover five kinds of limited material support that have adversely and unfairly affected refugees and asylum seekers with no tangible connection to terrorism: material support that was insignificant in amount or provided incidentally in the course of everyday social, commercial, family or humanitarian interactions, or under significant pressure,” a DHS official explained to The Daily Caller. Pew Study: Christians Are The World’s Most Oppressed Religious Group
Barbara Boland cnsnews.com February 6, 2014
Restrictions, harassment, and intimidation towards people who practice their religion increased in every major region of the world in 2012 except the Americas, with Christians the major target, says a new report by the Pew Research Center.
“Muslims and Jews experienced six-year highs in the number of countries in which they were harassed by national, provincial or local governments,” the study found, but Christians continue to be the world’s most oppressed religious group, with persecution against them reported in 110 countries.
A recent report by the Christian group Open Doors noted that “North Korea remains the world’s most restrictive nation in which to practice Christianity,” followed by Somalia, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Pakistan, Iran and Yemen. Read more

“F**k The EU”– US State Department Blasts Europe; Revealed As Alleged Mastermind Behind Ukraine Unrest
By Tamara Cohen
PUBLISHED: 19:20 EST, 6 February 2014
The US government’s top official in Europe risked triggering a diplomatic crisis after she was caught on tape saying ‘F*** the EU’.
Victoria Nuland, the assistant secretary of state for European Affairs, made the comment while discussing how to resolve the crisis in Ukraine which is gripped by fierce protests.
But her private telephone conversation with Geoffrey Pyatt, the US ambassador to the country, appears to have been intercepted and uploaded onto Youtube by an anonymous user.
In it, she tells her colleague about discussions with other top American officials about how to end the deadlock, and how she wants to appoint a United Nations representative to broker a deal between the government and opposition.
She says of her proposed deal: ‘That would be great to help glue this thing and to have the UN help glue it. And you know, f*** the EU.’
Ukraine has been in chaos since November when its President Viktor Yanukovych, rejected an accord with the European Union and instead strengthened ties with Russia.
The ditching of the accord – discussed for many years as a way integrate the country into Europe – was seen as hugely symbolic and demonstrations gripped the capital Kiev. They turned violent last month when the government brought in tough laws to crackdown on the protestors.
Terrible scenes at the end of January saw protestors torching police buses and hurling paving stones and petrol bombs; while police responded with tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannon.
The ambassador tells Miss Nuland on the tape ‘I think we’re in play’ about a plan apparently being attempted by the US government to bring the two together, and who should head a new government.
Mr Pyatt adds that he fears if their plan starts taking shape ‘the Russians will try to do something behind the scenes to torpedo it.’
The US last night accused Russia of leaking the tape to do precisely that. It is accompanied by Russian captions. White House spokesman Jay Carney said: ‘The video was first noted and tweeted out by the Russian government. I think it says something about Russia’s role.’
The conversation seems to reflect her frustration with the European Union’s failure to join the USA’s threat of sanctions against Ukraine’s leaders for violently crushing the protests. But the White House claimed Nuland was ‘in contact with her EU counterparts and relations with the EU are stronger than ever.’
The episode will create fresh tension between the US and Russia which are already under strain. Jennifer Psaki, a State department spokeswoman, said the incident represented a ‘new low in Russian tradecraft’. “F**k The EU” – US State Department Blasts Europe; Revealed As Alleged Mastermind Behind Ukraine Unrest
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 02/06/2014
A leaked recording of a telephone conversation allegedly between US assistant secretary of state Victoria Nuland and the US envoy to the Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt discussing who should be in Ukraine’s next government has, according to The FT, threatened to fuel east-west tensions over the troubled nation’s future. In apparent frustration with the EU – which has failed to join the US in threatening sanctions against Ukraine’s leaders if they violently crush the protests – the voice resembling Ms Nuland at one point exclaims “Fuck the EU”. As the two US diplomats decide whether “Klitsch” or “Yats” should be ‘in’ or ‘out’, listeners will be reminded (uncomfortably) that the governments of Ukraine and Russia previously alleged that the protests are being funded and orchestrated by the US.
The authenticity of the recording has not been confirmed (though comparisons to Nuland’s recent media appearances provide some confidence) – the FT reported that the US embassy in Kiev declined to comment, which is a tacit admission: if the clip was a fake, the US would immediately make it clear.
Needless to say, as the FT adds, “[this clip] could also bolster a propaganda campaign by the governments of Ukraine and Russia alleging that the protests that erupted against Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovich last November are being funded and orchestrated by the US.” Its release ahead of the day the Sochi Olympics start is also somewhat disturbing.
An excerpt on the US meddling…
“I think Yats [Yatsenyuk] is the guy who’s got the economic experience, the governing experience,” Nuland says. “What he needs is Klitsch [Klitschko] and [Oleh] Tyahnybok on the outside. He needs to be talking to them four times a week, you know. I just think Klitsch going in, he’s going to be at that level, working for Yatsenyuk, it’s just not going to work.”
Pyatt agrees.
“Let me work on Klitschko,” he can be heard saying, “and I think we should get a Western personality to come out here (to Ukraine) and midwife this thing.”
The controversial alleged Nuland “Fuck The EU” clip… (the discussion of the EU and UN involvement begins around 2:50)
And for comparison’s sake – Nuland last month delivering a statement on the
situation in Ukraine…
…In a clip posted on YouTube, voices resembling those of Victoria Nuland, a US assistant secretary of state, and Geoffrey Pyatt, ambassador to Ukraine, are heard talking by telephone about how to resolve the stand-off in Kiev after two months of anti-government protests.
In apparent frustration with the EU – which has failed to join the US in threatening sanctions against Ukraine’s leaders if they violently crush the protests – the voice resembling Ms Nuland at one point exclaims “F**k the EU”.
…
The two voices suggest Arseny Yatseniuk, the opposition leader and a former foreign minister, should be in a new government in Kiev. But Vitali Klitschko, a former heavyweight boxer and identified as “top dog” among opposition leaders, is also described as inexperienced and needing to “do his political homework”.
The voice resembling Ms Nuland refers to the two men as “Yats” and “Klitsch”.
…
It could also bolster a propaganda campaign by the governments of Ukraine and Russia alleging that the protests that erupted against Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovich last November are being funded and orchestrated by the US.
As we warned previously, after the Olympics, Ukraine becomes a very hot spot indeed…
The Western powers represented by the EU and the US have nothing to stand on to protect Ukraine and can only offer lip-service at best. So once again, it appears that Ukraine is doomed and the best one can hope for there, is that Russia will allow the West to leave. The countdown goes forward and the political and economic crisis is indicative of what we see with the first shot across the bow in the rising trend of the Cycle of War..Classy lady – Not – No surprise though with the Obama administration since these jobs are for quasi-Dems aka bankster-gangster globalists who gave him large donations for his reelection and agree with his installing puppet regimes all over the globe. In the latest blunder for an Obama administration ambassadorial nominee, prolific Democratic campaign fundraiser Noah Mamet admitted Thursday that he has never been to Argentina – the nation where he wants to represent U.S. interests as America’s top diplomat.
The White House has tapped him to be the U.S. ambassador to the South American country.
‘Mr. Mamet have you been to Argentina,’ asked Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio during the Californian’s confirmation hearing.
SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEO
‘I haven’t had the opportunity yet to be there,’ he admitted, ashen-faced.
‘I’ve traveled pretty extensively around the world, but I haven’t yet had the chance.’
Mamet, like other ambassadorial nominees, raised copious amounts of campaign cash for President Obama – at least $500,000 during the 2012 campaign cycle, and another $500,000 or more in 2008 according to data from the Center for Responsive Politics.
There’s nothing new about fundraisers being rewarded with cushy posts overseas, but they usually have some genuine qualifications for directing U.S. foreign policy in the country where they end up.
Mamet’s embarrassing showing comes after a similar face-palm moment from George Tsunis in January who told Arizona Sen. John McCain that he, too, had never visited the country where he asked to be posted.
‘Mr. Tsunis, have you been to Norway?’ McCain asked.
‘I have not,’ Tsunis admitted.
The Long Island hotel magnate who has bundled and contributed at least $1.3 million to Obama and other Democrats, proceeded to deliver what one Scandinavian newspaper called a ‘faltering, incoherent performance,’ saying among other things that Norway has a ‘president.’
The nation is actually a constitutional monarchy, much like the United Kingdom, with both a King and a parliament.
Tsunis also gaffed when he described the Progress Party, an anti-immigration political group with seven cabinet ministers among its members, as a part of ‘fringe elements’ that ‘spew their hatred.’
‘Norway has been very quick to denounce them,’ he said, before McCain corrected him and pointed out that they are an integral part of Norway’s coalition government.
Tsunis once contributed $50,000 to McCain’s Senate campaign before defecting to the Democratic side and collecting more than $1 million to send Barack Obama to the White House.
He won Senate confirmation this week, as did Max Baucus, a former U.S. senator who is to be the U.S. ambassador to China.
Faced with a tough question last week during his confirmation hearing about Chinese military provocation against Japan in the East China Sea, Baucus said plainly, ‘I’m no expert on China.’
The prize for ambassadorial cluelessness, though, may go to Colleen Bell, an Obama bundler who put $800,000 in play for Democrats. She’s trading in her work as producer of the soap opera ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ to become ambassador to Hungary.
Asked by McCain to describe America’s strategic interests in that nation, she launched into a rambling response worthy of a teen beauty pageant contestant.
‘Well, we have – our strategic interests, in terms of what are our key priorities in Hungary,’ Bell began, ‘I think our key priorities are to improve upon, as I mentioned, the security relationship and also the law enforcement and to promote business opportunities, increase trade … Our strategic interests are to work collaboratively as NATO allies.’
‘To work to promote and protect the security, both – for both countries and for – and for the world,’ she rambled on, ‘to continue working together on the cause of human rights around the world, to build that side of our relationship while also maintaining and pursuing some difficult conversations that might be necessary in the coming years.’

Or Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson…
“The call ended in agreement that al-Qaeda would support the Brotherhood, including its international branches, under the understanding that Morsi would soon implement full Sharia in Egypt. After this, Muhammad Zawahiri and Khairat al-Shater, the number-two man of the Muslim Brotherhood organization, reportedly met regularly.
It is interesting to note here that, prior to these revelations, U.S. ambassador Anne Patterson was seen visiting with Khairat al-Shater—even though he held no position in the Morsi government—and after the ousting and imprisonment of Morsi and leading Brotherhood members, Sens. John McCain and Lindsay Graham made it a point to visit the civilian Shater in his prison cell and urged the Egyptian government to release him.”

They’re basically obedient sock-puppets following the orders of their puppet-masters - what else do they need to know other than following orders? That they’re not brainiacs goes with the territory – their most important function was the donation of money to Obama’s reelection campaign knowing they’d get a lucrative job if he was elected. He got elected – they get the lucrative job. And their orders are exactly what the UK and US have designed – along with others in Continental Europe.
I didn’t look up any of these specific ambassadors but this is the way it’s been, not just under Obama (though the people he picks are more rauncy that prior), but also under Bush, Clinton et al. Max Baucus probably got his appointment as a “reward” for voting for the monsterous Obamacare…Obama got his Nobel for what he was about to do for the mafia. Note how the people who cowtow to the Mafiosa are always rewarded, whether it’s to do with books, papers, articles, plays, songs, movies, news programs, documentaries, revisionist history…wars, environment, eugenics, abortions, euthanasia – they all win prizes of some sort or other… For example, when The House of Orange – Princess Mabel started the European Council on Foreign Relations (funded by Soros… as was the International Crisis Group…) the council got the think tank of the year award a few times… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Council_on_Foreign_Relations
I didn’t look into it but it wouldn’t surprise me if Europe didn’t do the same thing…we’re really not so different from what are called third world countries. It’s not what you know, it’s whose hand to grease, and in this case, the luck of the draw as to who wins the election. Mafioso tactics and strategies.

The brand-new alpine resort village of Rosa Khutor had tunnel vision Friday night. A large crowd gathered in the town square to watch the opening ceremony on a giant screen. Away from the square, people watched in their hotel rooms and in restaurants and bars.
If you wanted solitude at the Olympics, this was the time. The pedestrian paths on both sides of the river that runs through the heart of the village were practically empty. Two Russian policemen strolled through a normally busy section of the village with nothing to observe or worry about.
The TV commentary from the broadcast of the ceremonies echoed through back streets like the sound of a World Cup soccer game wafting down an empty boulevard in Madrid.

A celebration of Russia’s history quickly transition to the organization of the army under Peter the Great to a scene from Leo Tolstoy’s “War and Peace.” The 300 soldiers marched in formation as ballet stars streamed to the center of the floor.
With the rise and fall of “Krasnaya Palatka” and “Red Marquee” by Russian composer Aleksander Sergeyevich, a beautiful ballroom scene played out under massive columns risen up from the floor. It was magnificent and moving to watch, and thoroughly Russian.
Some of Russia’s most well-known ballerinas played roles in the performance, including Svetlana Zakharova, Vladimir Vasiliev, Danila Korusntsev, Alexander Petukov and Ivan Vasiliev.
Mascots! Super cute bear, bunny and snow leopard. Right now, they’re on skis, skates and snowboard. The bear’s short is better than Jeremy Abbott’s so far.
An air of giddy, it’s-finally-here excitement spiked the air in the town square at Rosa Khutor, an assemblage of new hotels and high-end stores in the valley below the mountain venues of the Sochi Games. The opening ceremony played out on a large screen and hundreds stood and watched, stretching across a bridge over the river that bisects the newly built village.
One pig-tailed mother in a white winter coat pushed her baby carriage back and forth in rhythmic time to the operatic opening music, a large Russian flag draped over top of the dancing stroller. Children in one-piece snowsuits and pom-pom-topped knit caps waved their miniature Russian flags. The crowd burst into laughter when the screen filled with the image of the Bermuda delegation marching in their red Bermuda shorts. And stern-faced military figures stood silent sentry in their tall fur hats with baggy pants stuffed into their high black boots, as if characters from Dr. Zhivago.
See what the celebration looked like here.
Christmas in February! Russian parading around stadium dressed as Santa! Ralph Lauren, you’ve just been vindicated. Parade is over. Let the fun begin, after the speeches that is.
A packed crowd showed its support for the Russian delegation, the largest at these Games with 270 athletes. The most deafening noise of the night came as the crowed stood and cheered while the techno music playing throughout the night blasted a heavy bass.

Jamaica — we have a bobsled team! The Jamaican team received loud cheers from the crowd as they walked in.
As Lubov, our hero girl, floated above the floor, a dreamscape of Russia drifted past her moving across the arced roof of Fisht Stadium. In a majestic scene, fake snow fell from the roof as ethereal music played.
Putting on an event the size of the Olympic opening ceremonies is herculean and comes with impressive stats. The facts and figures that stand out: – 10,000 Russians who auditioned for the opening and closing ceremonies, many to “Gangnam Style,” the most popular song during the auditions. Masha and Olga were the most popular female names of those who auditioned, and it was Sasha and Pasha for the guys. – 500 gymnasts wearing costumes that will represent the different regions and ethnicities of Russia during the “Voices of Russia” segment – 240 athlete marshals with LED elements of their red, white and blue costumes to create the Russian flag. – 3.8-kilometer track in the roof that will fly 80 scenic elements – 9,223 people required to stage the opening ceremony
The ceremony started off with a video highlighting Russia’s great contributions to society and then started to follow a young child on a journey through the vast country. 500 castmembers, representing many different ethnic groups sang to start the show.

Christine Brennan: I was very surprised to see the same kind of security coming into the Olympic Stadium for the Opening Ceremony as I’ve seen all week here. Nothing different or special. Credential screened, water bottles allowed. Who expected that? Salt Lake City, Athens, London — all armed camps. But not Sochi. Talk about your sports upsets.
It took three hours to enter the Opening Ceremony in Salt Lake City. It took one hour in Vancouver. It took 30 seconds here.

Russian president Vladimir Putin officially opened the games, and then a decidedly Russian twist was put on the traditional dove release. The corporate media have attempted to make this event took bad but after poking around the net, looking at images, and reading tweets from Americans etc. who are there – the news appears to be all good - the opening ceremonies was “spectacular”! Even some journalists are reporting that accomodations aren’t as bad as being reported, in fact, from what many say the rooms are very hi-tech. Their security appears to be more relaxed than here (MC->that wouldn’t be difficult) with little waiting time for entry, and the added bonus of bottles of water permitted etc.
All in all a great first day for the Sochi games - Congratulations to Russia, and good luck in the games – that been said…

Scientists Confirm Fukushima Radiation in California Kelp
Mikael Thalen Infowars.com February 7, 2014
Scientists analyzing kelp off the coast of San Diego confirmed the presence of cesium this week, a radioactive isotope directly linked to the Fukushima Daiichi power plant.
Part of the ongoing “Kelp Watch 2014″ project, government and academic institutions have begun receiving results from samples of Bull Kelp and Giant Kelp collected along the California coast. Despite attempts by the media to downplay the ongoing disaster, the discovery has only confirmed the continued build up of radiation in West Coast waters.
“We’re trying to figure out how much is there and how much is getting into the ecosystem,” said Dr. Matthew Edwards, a professor from San Diego State University. “Things are linked a little more closely than sometimes we’d like to think. Just because it is on the other side of the world doesn’t mean that it doesn’t effect us.”
The discovery coincides with statements made by researchers at the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems in Spain, who predicted the early 2014 arrival of Fukushima radiation along the North American West Coast.
Although scientists claim the levels of cesium are safe, the public’s distrust has only grown given the government’s continued denial of other issues related to radiation.
Currently, more than 70 U.S. sailors involved in the USS Ronald Reagan’s 2011 Fukushima rescue efforts have been stricken with ailments such as brain tumors, thyroid cancer and leukemia. Despite the clear connection to Fukushima, the federal government has continued to deny any link.
Following the recent discovery of radiation levels over 1,400% above normal on a California beach, thought to be from naturally occurring thorium in the sand, government officials rushed to call the levels completely safe. Independent experts quickly refuted the claim, even warning that children playing in the sand were at risk.
Given radiation’s ability to bio-accumulate in sea life, many fear that the massive animal die-off along the west coast is related to the continued consumption of radioactive isotopes. Sea stars and sardines have been especially effected, with other strange anomalies such as the discovery of “never before seen” conjoined gray whale calves off the coast of Northern Mexico, sparking increased worry as well.
While the government attempts to reassure the public that there is absolutely no risk whatsoever, tens of millions of doses of Potassium Iodide have been quietly purchased by the Department of Health and Human Services as well as the Pentagon.
With experts predicting a 40 plus year cleanup at Fukushima, the likelihood of increased cesium in the Pacific Ocean seems inevitable.

“OoO – Instead of doing much to try to protect their citizens from Fukushima, Japan, theU.S. and the EUall just raised the radiation levels they deem “safe”. Nuclear expert Arnie Gundersen says that high-level friends in the State Department told him that Hillary Clinton signed a pact with her counterpart in Japan agreeing that the U.S. will continue buying seafood from Japan, despite that food not being tested for radioactive materials.” http://seniorcitizenspublicsqu…
4th Financial Services Executive Found Dead; “From Self-Inflicted Nail-Gun Wounds”
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 02/07/2014
The ugly rash of financial services executive suicides appears to have spread once again. Following the jumping deaths of 2 London bankers and a former-Fed economist in the US, The Denver Post reports Richard Talley, founder and CEO of American Title, was found dead in his home from self-inflicted wounds – from a nail-gun. Talley’s company was under investigation from insurance regulators.
Richard Talley, 57, and the company he founded in 2001 were under investigation by state insurance regulators at the time of his death late Tuesday, an agency spokesman confirmed Thursday. It was unclear how long the investigation had been ongoing or its primary focus.
A coroner’s spokeswoman Thursday said Talley was found in his garage by a family member who called authorities. They said Talley died from seven or eight self-inflicted wounds from a nail gun fired into his torso and head.
Also unclear is whether Talley’s suicide was related to the investigation by the Colorado Division of Insurance, which regulates title companies.
…
A checkered past?
Before coming to Colorado, Talley was a former regional financial officer at Drexel Burnham Lambert in Chicago, where he met his wife, Cheryl, a vice president at the company. The two married in 1989.Talley had formed a number of companies, some now defunct, according to the Colorado secretary of state’s office. Among them: American Escrow, Clear Title, Clear Creek Financial Holdings, Swift Basin, Sumar, American Real Estate Services, and the American Alliance of Real Estate Professionals… zerohedge - dailymail pics
I feel sad for the family. May he RIP
How is it possible to shoot seven or eight self-inflicted wounds from a nail gun fired into his torso and head? And why choose this painful route since most suicides prefer to go quickly, and with little pain, as someone said, its like beating yourself up with a hammer. Very bizarre and troubling – whose next…
What Syrian Christian, Alawite or Druze in their right mind would trade the Assad’s time-tested protection for the smooth words of a John Kerry?
By Raymond Ibrahim on February 7, 2014
After my recent articles documenting how the U.S. is the chief facilitator of Christian persecution in the Muslim world, I received an email from John Eibner, CEO of Christian Solidarity International, in which he made the following observation:
The sad fact is that the ruthless Assad dictatorship has a better record than the United States or its Sunni allies of protecting religious minorities in the Middle East. What Syrian Christian, Alawite or Druze in their right mind would trade the Assad’s time-tested protection for the smooth words of a John Kerry, especially when they can see Sunni supremacist Saudis, Qataris, Turks and a motley array of jihadis over their shoulder?
A sad fact indeed.
Still, one of the most nagging questions for Western observers must be: Why would ruthless dictators, most of whom are at least nominally Muslim, care about Christians and bother to protect them?
The answer is related to the popular adage (possibly of Arab origin), “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” This has long meant that, whoever is at odds with my enemy becomes my natural friend and ally.
In the context of Arab dictators and Christian minorities, however, the adage changes slightly to, “The enemy of ‘infidels’ is my enemy.”
Put differently, a secular Bashar Assad—ruthless as he may be—knows that those Islamic rebels that attack Christians because the latter are “infidels” also see him as an infidel and are thus his natural enemies.
And so, if anything, finding and neutralizing those “elements” that persecute Christians is one with finding and neutralizing those elements that would overthrow him.
It was the same in Saddam’s Iraq, Mubarak’s Egypt, Qaddafi’s Libya, and the rest.
The point is not that these dictators had any special love for their Christian subjects, but rather that they knew they had little to worry about from them, while those who attack Christians are the ones to worry about.
This is evinced by the fact that, in other contexts, such Arab rulers cast the Christians to the lions as scapegoats for Islamists to vent their rage on—a “better them than me mentality.”
Still, an overarching deduction exists: those who scream “infidels” while burning churches are the same who scream “apostate” while attacking state targets. It’s an unwavering truism.
Even al-Qaeda’s Ayman Zawahiri recently demonstrated this correlation when he called on Egypt’s jihadis to stop targeting Christians and their churches and focus instead on fighting the current rulers. In both cases, the jihadis see the “infidel”—whether the born Coptic Christian infidel or the “apostate” military—as the enemy.
Due to Egypt’s significant Christian population which numbers at least ten million (if not much more), the adage “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” takes on more complete meaning in that nation: the Copts and their church did play a supportive role in the June revolution that ousted the Muslim Brotherhood, even as Pope Tawadros stood side-by-side with Gen. Sisi and Al Azhar’s Grand Sheikh, Ahmed al-Tayab—only to suffer at the hands of Muslim Brotherhood supporters, including al-Qaeda, everywhere.
Such is the simple wisdom and instinct for survival of the Arab autocrats of the Middle East—a wisdom that concludes that, “he who targets Christians because they are ‘infidels,’ is he who targets me.”
Meanwhile, far from exhibiting such simple common sense, Western governments in general, the U.S. government in particular, continue to aid and abet those who, by targeting and killing Christians simply because they are “infidels,” are continually exposing their ingrained hostility for the West and everything it once stood for.

Why is the Belgium government fast tracking the child euthanasia bill?
by Alex Schadenberg | Brussels, Belgium | LifeNews.com | 2/6/14
The Belgian media is reporting that the bill to extend euthanasia to children in Belgium will likely be voted on Thursday February 13.
The Belgian government announced today that the debate on the child euthanasia bill, in the Chamber of Deputies, will occur on February 12 and the vote will likely happen the next day, but possibly on the same day of the debate.
Earlier reports suggested that the child euthanasia bill would be voted-on in May.
Why is the Belgium government fast tracking the child euthanasia bill?
Similar to the Groningen Protocol in the Netherlands, the extension of euthanasia to children in Belgian is based on allowing euthanasia for children with disabilities.
The bill is being fast tracked likely because a strong opposition to the bill is developing.
Last week 38 Belgian paediatricians denounced the child euthanasia bill. The paediatricians stated that extending euthanasia to children was not necessary because:
(1) Even the most complex medical cases can be solved in the current legal framework, with the means and expertise at our disposal. For whom is this legislation therefore designed?(2) Children in Belgium are not suffering. The palliative care teams for children are perfectly capable of achieving pain relief, both in hospital and at home.(3) A sensitive child may perceive the option of euthanasia as a solution or a duty, especially if the child feels that the parents can no longer bear to see him suffer.(4) In practice, there is no objective method for determining whether a child is gifted with the ability of discernment and judgment. So this is actually largely subjective and subject to other influences.
We believe that there is no urgency to pass this bill in the current legislature.
Last week, a large number of the European Parliament members signed a Declaration opposing the euthanasia for children in Belgium.
The Declaration states that extending euthanasia to children:
(1) betrays some of the most vulnerable children in Belgium by accepting that their lives may no longer have any inherent value or worth and that they should die;(2) mistakenly assumes that children are able give appropriate informed consent to euthanasia and that they can understand the grave meaning and complex consequences associated with such a decision;(3) promotes the unacceptable belief that a life can be unworthy of life which challenges the very basis of civilised society.
(1) euthanasia is widely under-reported;
(2) euthanasia is often done without an explicit request;
(3) and nurses are lethally injecting patients, even though the law does not permit it.
Quebec Votes Next Week on Euthanasia Bill That Could Kill 1,000 People a Year
What can I do to stop Québec’s euthanasia Bill 52?
by Alex Schadenberg | Quebec City, Canada | LifeNews.com | 2/7/14
Sign the online petition: Québec’s euthanasia Bill 52 is lethal. /Youtube video: Jean Vanier and Dr Balfour Mount denounce Bill 52. (Link).
You can email Québec politicians to urge them to stop Bill 52:
Bertrand St-Arnaud, Québec’s Minister of Justice and Attorney General: ministre@justice.gouv.qc.ca.
to equally protect every Canadian from euthanasia by challenging Bill 52 in the court as unconstitutional and to bring an injunction against Bill 52.
Bill 52 is unconstitutional because it redefines an act of lethal injection as “health care.”
Hon. Peter MacKay: 284 Wellington St., Ottawa, ON, K1A 0H8 or email: mcu@justice.gc.ca. Letters are better than email.
You can contact the group Vivre dans la Dignité (Living with Dignity) in Quebec for further instructions: info@vivredignite.com.
What should I know about Québec’s euthanasia Bill 52?
• Bill 52 will give Québec doctors the right to lethally inject their patients when they are physically or psychological suffering.
• Bill 52 does not limit euthanasia to terminally ill people. The bill states that a person must be at the end of life but the bill doesn’t define “end of life” and it allows euthanasia for psychological suffering, which cannot be defined.
• Bill 52 targets people with disabilities. The bill states that a person must be in “an advanced and irreversible decline of function.” Many people with disabilities fit this criteria. Since the bill does not define “end of life” euthanasia will be easily extended to people with disabilities.
• Euthanasia is a form of homicide (murder) in the federal Criminal Code.
• Bill 52 defines killing by euthanasia as a part of “health care” in order to avoid the federal Criminal Code prohibition from lethally injecting someone.
• Bill 52 defines “medical aid in dying” (euthanasia) as a part of end-of-life care..
• Bill 52 creates a right to end-of-life care. Since euthanasia is defined as part of end-of-life care, the bill therefore creates a right to euthanasia..

SOCHI, Russia (CBS DC) — A three-time gold medalist who lit the Sochi Olympic cauldron Friday tweeted a racist picture last year of the Obamas.
Irina Rodnina, who won the gold in women’s figure skating in the 1972, 1976 and 1980 Winter Olympics, posted a doctored picture on Twitter last September of President Barack Obama, who had a mouth-full of food, and Michelle Obama staring at a banana that is being waved at them.
The Guardian reported at the time that Rodnina immediately deleted the tweet but never apologized for posting the picture.
“Freedom of speech is freedom of speech, and you should answer for your own hang-ups,” she said, according to The Guardian, adding she got it from friends in the U.S.

NBC: Communism is “one of history’s pivotal experiments”
posted at 10:01 am on February 8, 2014 by Ed Morrissey
It didn’t take long for NBC to offer up all of its credibility in payment to Vladimir Putin in exchange for the television rights to the Sochi Olympics, did it? In its intro to the opening ceremonies — in which Putin’s Russia trotted out a gigantic hammer and sickle to celebrate its nation — NBC called perhaps the bloodiest and most oppressive tyrannies in human history “one of modern history’s pivotal experiments” (via Twitchy):
A pivotal experiment? Perhaps … in mass murder, subjugation, and paranoia. This “experiment” lasted more than 70 years and it was so “unsuccessful” that its satellites tried repeatedly to depart from it, resulting in brutal crackdowns from Moscow. The West didn’t lift a finger when Russians sent tanks into Hungary in 1956 to put down an end to that part of the “experiment,” nor did they do much in 1968 when the Czechs wanted to call the experiment a failure. Communism was an evil, tyrannical system of both government and economics, not an “experiment” in a lab somewhere. In this case, all the rats ran the experiment.
If there was a gold medal in selling out, NBC won it yesterday.

Communism Killed 94M in 20th Century, Feels Need to Kill Again
John J. Walters|Mar. 13, 2013
Information is BeautifulAccording to a disturbingly pleasant graphic from Information is Beautiful entitled simply 20th Century Death, communism was the leading ideological cause of death between 1900 and 2000. The 94 million that perished in China, the Soviet Union, North Korea, Afghanistan, and Eastern Europe easily (and tragically) trump the 28 million that died under fascist regimes during the same period.
During the century measured, more people died as a result of communism than from homicide (58 million) and genocide (30 million) put together. The combined death tolls of WWI (37 million) and WWII (66 million) exceed communism’s total by only 9 million.
It gets worse when you look at the lower right of the chart—The Natural World—which includes animals (7 million), natural disasters (24 million), and famine (101 million). Curiously, all of the world’s worst famines during the 20th century were in communist countries: China (twice!), the Soviet Union, and North Korea.
Communism is a killer. And yet some still say they support the idea: According to a 2011 Rasmussen poll, 11% of Americans think that communism would better serve this country’s needs than our current system.

Jon Karl to State Department: How Much Does It Cost to Become an Ambassador?
BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff February 7, 2014 3:01 pm
ABC reporter Jonathan Karl asked how much it costs to be named an ambassador by the Obama administration during the State Department press briefing Friday, in the wake of embarrassing gaffes by Obama bundlers nominated for diplomatic posts.
“The percentage is 37 percent, which is considerably more political appointees than George Bush had, considerably more than Bill Clinton had,” Karl said. “I mean, most of these gave hundreds of thousands of dollars or raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Obama campaign. How much does it cost to become an ambassador, to be named ambassador, in the Obama administration?”
The remarks drew laughter from the press corps, and spokeswoman Jen Psaki called it a “TV question,” but Karl pressed for an answer.
“The White House names ambassadors, so I would certainly point you to my old colleagues across the street for that,” Psaki said.
Two prominent Democratic donors, George Tsunis and Noah Mamet, recently made headlines for revealing their shortcomings as ambassadors for their respective countries. Tsunis wrongly said Norway was a republic and stated a member of its ruling coalition was a fringe element, and Mamet admitted he had never even been to Argentina.
“I would encourage people to give those who have had tougher hearings a chance to go to their countries and see what their tenure will entail,” Psaki said. “And the judgment can’t be made about how effective they’ll be or how appreciated they’ll be by the government until we have that happen.”
Full exchange:
JEN PSAKI: Any more on Syria? Go ahead. Jonathan Karl, what do we owe this pleasure?
JONATHAN KARL: It’s great to be back in the building.
PSAKI: Ok.
KARL: I just have a few questions on the president’s nominees to be ambassadors around the world. What, in a nutshell, are the essential qualifications to be named U.S. ambassador?
PSAKI: Well, fortunately the United States has diplomatic relationships with many, many countries around the world, as you know, and we have ambassadors who are from political backgrounds, who are from financial backgrounds, who have run companies large and small. But our process has continued to be — or our approach has continued to be approximately a 70/30 balance of career employees. So people have been working through the foreign service and serving around the world, building that level of experience, and then about 30 percent from outside the private sector.
Over the course of history, there have been many, many ambassadors who have come from outside of the — of the career paths who’ve been very successful. And, you know, just to point you to a two –to a few: Sargent Shriver, former Vice President Mondale, Pamela Harriman. There are many who have been very successful serving in these roles in countries around the world, and that’s part of the reason why this will continue.
KARL: So I mean, as you know, there’s been some criticism that — of the specific qualifications of some of the recent nominees. I mean, George Tsunis didn’t seem to even know what type of government Norway has, called one of the members of the ruling coalition a fringe element. So I’m wondering does an — does an ambassador have to have at least some basic knowledge of the country that he is going to?
PSAKI: Well, I think ambassadors go to countries — obviously that’s the goal — but the ambassadors go to countries to represent the United States, to be a resource to people on the ground. We’ve seen those reports. We’ve all read them. But I would encourage people to give those who have had tougher hearings a chance to go to their countries and see what their tenure will entail. And the judgment can’t be made about how effective they’ll be or how appreciated they’ll be by the government until we have that happen.
KARL: So right now you have — the percentage is 37 percent, which is considerably more political appointees than George Bush had, considerably more than Bill Clinton had. And I’m going through the list. I mean, most of these gave hundreds of thousands of dollars or raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Obama campaign. How much does it cost to become an ambassador, to be named ambassador, in the Obama administration? (Laughter.)
PSAKI: Jonathan Karl, always a TV question. We don’t determine –
KARL: Well, it’s serious because –
PSAKI: I’m not — I’m not — it is a serious question. We don’t name ambassadors from the State Department. The White House names ambassadors, so I would certainly point you to my old colleagues across the street for that. What I was conveying is that from the State Department point of view there have been many, many political ambassadors, people who have come from a range of histories and backgrounds, who have been very successful and worked very effectively in these roles.

The Only People Harassing the Gays of Sochi are the Foreign Journalists
BY JULIA IOFFE – FEBRUARY 8, 2014
Sochi has one gay club. It is called Mayak, or “light house,” and it is located behind an unmarked door right off one of the city’s lush parks. You have to buzz to be let in.
Once you’re in, though, you’re just as likely to encounter a foreign journalist as a local.
As Olympic preparations have ramped up and now that the Games are in full swing, Mayak has been mobbed by foreign journalists eager to capture how the local gays live now that Russia has passed a law banning gay propaganda among minors and is now internationally known for hating gays. The foreign journalists buzz about the place. “Have you been to Mayak yet?” we ask one another.
“Too many,” Zhanna the butch cashier says rolling her eyes when I ask her how many foreign journalists have come through here. “Questions, cameras. And always with the same questions.” Are gays being persecuted? Beaten? “I always tell them that we observe all the laws. No one bothers us and we don’t bother anyone.”
The only people who bother them, it seemed, were the foreign journalists. Pointing cameras in their faces, asking questions. “People are annoyed because they don’t want to be on screen,” Zhanna explained. Though some people don’t realize they’re being taped—like one gentleman who did a drunken birthday dance recently only to find himself in an American news segment.
“Are we annoying?” I asked the manager.
“Yes,” he said icily. Then he added, “If you want an interview, call our people and schedule one.”
On Saturday night, I decided to check it out, along with friends who work for The Guardian, TIME, and The Independent. A flock of AP reporters was already there, enjoying mojitos. In the hallway, a TV reporter was interviewing two girls in leopardware on camera. Nearby, a Danish TV reporter named Matilda told me she was interested in doing a story “that isn’t victimized.” It was an important story because “gay rights are a big issue in Europe.” The bar owner, she said, was busy giving interviews in a private room. “We called last week to schedule an interview and we got 15 minutes between the Finns and the Swiss.” Her local fixer tapped me on the shoulder. “There are three more journalists sitting next to her,” he said. But, he explained, they were Russian correspondents. “They’re confused,” he said. “They don’t know what to do, professionally.”
“We’ve given over 200 interviews in the last month,” says Mayak owner Andrey Tanichev. Every country has sent its correspondents, he says, “except the Spanish, God bless them.” The Americans have sent the most reporters, but the BBC has set a record: they came by four times.
Tanichev says the law hasn’t affected the club in any way. “The law applies to propaganda among minors, but we’ve never let in people under 21” because of a local law that curfews minors. And business was a lot harder when Mayak opened almost a decade ago, Tanichev says. “There just weren’t many gays, people were embarrassed to come.”
“The Soviet Union was a closed country, it had its own customs,” he went on. “Norms change slowly, tolerance grows slowly. It’s much more tolerant now than it was ten years ago.”
Meanwhile, the 1:30 drag cabaret was getting started with the room rowdily singing the Russian national anthem as a rainbow flag waved in a digital wind on a jumbo screen. Cameramen scurried. A dark-haired woman near me whipped out a note pad. A man in front of me hurriedly set up a tripod.
After she came on stage and lip sang “I Will Survive,” Zaza Napoli decided to address the new and very busy guests.
“Don’t be scared of the cameramen, my friends! Relax!” she said to Mayak’s regular guests. “These are our international partners!”

‘Abortion should be mandatory for 30 years’ for ‘population control’: Gay activist
by Ben Johnson - Wed Nov 06, 2013 19:33 EST
SYDNEY, November 6, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Women should be forced to abort their children for the next 30 years as a part of global population control, homosexual activist Dan Savage told Australian television on Monday.
Savage, whose anti-bullying program “It Gets Better” was heavily promoted by President Barack Obama, made the statement during a four-member panel during the “Festival of Dangerous Ideas.”
Audience member Lisa Malouf closed the program by asking, “Which so-called ‘dangerous idea’ do you each think would have the greatest potential to change the world for the better if it were implemented?”
After a moment’s thought, Savage replied, “Population control. There’s too many G-d d—-ed people on the planet.”
“You know, I’m pro-choice, I believe that women should have a right to control their bodies,” he added. “Sometimes in my darker moments, I’m anti-choice. I think abortion should be mandatory for about 30 years.”
The audience responded with overwhelming applause at the suggestion that the world’s women lose control of their fertility.
Savage did not indicate how many children, if any, females would be allowed to bear. The world’s most restrictive population regime, China, has enforced a one-child policy since 1979 that has “prevented 400 million births,” according to the People’s Daily. That number includes approximately 336 million abortions, most of them forced.
Although Savage has offered no denial, video footage made clear that he meant business.
“In retrospect, Savage might try to insist that he was only joking but there’s no smile on his face and the point seems quite seriously made,” Tim Stanley of the London Telegraph wrote. He added that, because Savage spoke “about abortion, he’ll probably be defended by radical pro-choicers. But what he’s basically saying here is that women should be compelled to abort their children so that there are less people around to annoy Dan Savage.”
The statement was Savage’s second about abortion in the hour-long ABC program. At one point he told fellow panelist Peter Hitchens, the pro-life Christian brother of the late Christopher Hitchens, “Forcing women to give birth against their will damages women.”
Hitchens answered Malouf’s question by saying, “The most dangerous idea in human history and philosophy remains the belief that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and rose from the dead. And that is the most dangerous idea you will ever encounter.”
The divinity of Christ is so dangerous “because it alters the whole of human behavior and all our responsibilities,” Hitchens said. “It turns the universe from a meaningless chaos into a designed place in which there is justice and there is hope and, therefore, we all have a duty to discover the nature of that justice and work towards that hope.”
“It alters us all,” he said. “If we reject it, it alters us all was well.”
Savage has a long history of angry and over-the-top rhetoric. The gay rights activist said in 2011 he wished all Republicans were “f—ing dead.” Last May, he told a group of high school students the Bible is full of “bull—-” and that Christian teenagers were “pansy —ed” for walking out of his talk.
In 2000, Savage licked doorknobs and put pens in his mouth inside the headquarters of Gary Bauer’s presidential campaign in the hopes of infecting the pro-family Republican leader.
Savage is not the only influential figure with ties to the White House to endorse mandatory abortion as a worthy national policy. Obama administration Science Czar John Holdren wrote in his 1978 book Ecoscience, “population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society.”
Video at site. Homosexuality is encouraged, funded, propagated, and supported by the bankster gangers and governments since homosexuals fit into their “overpopulation” agenda – we’re only in the early phase of the manipulation… wars, abortions, suicide accommodation, adult euthanasia (kids with disabilities in the works) notwithstanding.
